“Dolls” é belíssimo, está passando no TeleCine e discorre acerca da natureza do amor, das desventuras a que ele pode levar e do que se perde ao abrir mão dele por medo de sofrimento.

Uma pintura em rosa e cores pardas, Dolls aborda o amor pelos seus defeitos.

Mostrando como o humano é disfuncional e frágil, ele leva o incauto espectador a sentir as próprias asas arrancadas na figura de uma borboleta morta, na esfera perfeita maculada de um brinquedo de criança e no flutuar balouçante de uma folha de outono que flui a deriva num rio caudaloso.

As alegorias insistentes contrapõe o corpo desfigurado aos sacrifícios, cicatrizes e perdas advindas de amar apaixonadamente.

Os amantes, nas mãos de forças muito mais poderosas que eles, não são mais que títeres de si mesmos e de tudo que não compreendem.

A tragédia que se desenrola a partir do desejo carnal, da ternura angelical e da perpetuação do amor na memória, ata-os e os conduz por sendas inóspitas e destrutivas – e ao mesmo tempo por aventuras que define-os como vivos, embora loucos.

O diretor nos tortura pelo caminho estereotípico do amor romântico ocidental até a trilha arquetípica do amor humano, que propõe universal.

A catástrofe na qual parece transformar o amor, entretanto, para aquele que sabe olhar o rosa da paisagem pardacenta, vale cada bocado de dor e desespero.

Amor romântico, absurdo, quântico, solitário, platônico ou jâmbico… é ele o responsável pela única cor que vale o filme todo… o rosa que se vê no perfume das flores, nas amarras que nos prendem a quem se ama e na dor do sangue-sacrifício derramado sob si.
